What is garden coaching?
Garden coaching is an on-site garden design consultation. It helps you understand your garden’s potential, clarify your priorities and make better decisions before committing to landscaping works, contractors or a fuller design process.
Is garden coaching the same as a garden design?
No. Garden coaching is usually the first stage of thinking. A full garden design is a more developed process that may include plans, layouts, planting concepts, specifications or further project support.
Is the service suitable for English-speaking homeowners in France?
Yes. Greenfrog is particularly well suited to English-speaking and bilingual clients in South West France who want clear communication, design expertise and practical guidance within the French context.
Can Penelope help me deal with French contractors?
Yes, where appropriate. Even during coaching, Penelope can help you understand how to approach conversations with landscapers, artisans, pool companies or other contractors.
Can coaching help before I contact landscapers?
Yes. This is often the ideal moment. A clear design direction makes it easier to brief contractors and compare suggestions or quotes intelligently.
What practical constraints might affect my garden project?
Depending on the property, constraints may include planning rules, PLU requirements, protected buildings or landscapes, access, slope, drainage, septic systems, electricity, irrigation, soil type, existing trees, pool regulations, budget, contractor availability and maintenance.
Do I have to continue with a full Greenfrog project afterwards?
No. The coaching session has value on its own. Some clients continue into a fuller design or coordination process; others simply use the session to make better decisions independently.
